Wild Karnataka is a dreamlike documentary film that takes you into the innermost jungles of the state of Karnataka, exploring its supremely rich but mostly unknown biodiversity. The film follows tigers and elephants, but also lesser-known creatures like the Lion tailed Macaque, hornbills and countless species of amphibians and reptiles. It travels from the wet evergreens of the Western Ghats and the deciduous forests of Mysore to the thorn scrub forests and rocky outcrops of Ramnagar and Daroji, finally extending to riverine and marine ecosystems – amazingly enough, all found in the one state of Karnataka!

Shot using cutting edge ultra-HD 4K camera and aerial drone technology, Wild Karnataka is the first Indian wildlife documentary to be entirely narrated by Sir David Attenborough. This home grown film showcases a slice of natural history, an awe-inspiring watch for audiences to know about and feel truly proud of the rich flora and fauna in our own backyard.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with chief camerawoman, Pune based conservationist and wildlife filmmaker, Pooja Rathod.
